Fat Elephant is a product and technology studio based in Chennai, India. This policy explains what personal information we handle when you visit this website or get in touch with us, and what we do with it. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Fat Elephant.
What you send us. The contact form on this website does not submit anything to a server. When you press “Send Message”, it opens your own email app with a pre-filled message addressed to us. We receive only what you choose to send, which usually includes your name, email address, project type and message, plus anything else you add.
Notes and builds. If you answer the question on our home page, or send us a build from Fat Build, you can include your email address. Like the contact form, these open your own email app with a message addressed to us, so we receive only what you choose to send. If we move any of them to an online form, we will update this policy.
Technical data. This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Like any website, our hosting provider and your browser handle technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which may appear in standard server logs.
Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When they load, your browser requests them from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. Google’s own privacy policy governs how it handles that data.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
We share personal information only where needed: with service providers who help us run the business, such as email and hosting providers; with professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers; and with authorities where the law requires it. Anyone we share it with is expected to protect it.
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and to follow up, and records of work we carry out for as long as our contracts and the law require. After that, we delete or anonymise the information.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send passwords, financial details or other sensitive information through the contact form.
This website is meant for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
This website links to other sites, including client websites and Instagram. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before sharing information.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
